KIM JONG YUN - North Korea Sovereign
SOL :- It has been 10 years since Kim Jong yun (37) took over as
North Korea 's Sovereign. Yun came to power at the age of 27 after the
untimely death of his father was initially regarded as a weak and
inexperienced leader. Although a military coup was predicted Kim Jong Yun
proved to him that he was a brutal assassin in his first year in power. K
Jong Yun executed all those who threatened him, including members of the Kim
family and high officials in the administration and the military.
A decade later, Kim's rule silenced its rivals. North Korea is now more
isolated in the world. The Western sanctions, which have been in place since
2016, have upset countries wealth systems. Meanwhile, Nuclear missile tests
aimed at the U.S and other neighbouring countries have destabilized the
region.
The summit with U S president Donald Trump in 2018 and 2019 attracted world
attention, but attempts to lift the embargo were unsuccessful.
North Korea is China's sole partner in trade and diplomacy. As the Covid
Crisis worsened following the blockade, food shortages and inflation
intensified. The shortage of essential medicines was another serious
problem.
After Kim I'll Sung established North Korea in 1948, the country was ruled
by 3 generations of the Kim family. After Sung's death in 1994, Ill's third
son, Kim Jong Yun , became Kim Jong Ill's ruler. Yun was born in 1984. Kim
Jong Ill died on December 17, age of 69. He was taken over on December
30.
